Farm Assistant

We are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant for a 450 cow farm located near Kumara. The farm is located between Kumara and Kumara Junction. Cows are milked through a 50 bail rotary with automatic cup removers and Protrack. The successful applicant will be working with the Farm Manager to perform a range of tasks including milking, feed management, animal health, effluent management, and tractor operation. Both the Farm Manager and this role are supported by a machine operator who takes care of fert spreading, drilling and most of the feeding out etc. We are looking for someone with an interest in the dairy industry and wanting to progress. Further training is encouraged. You must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and a criminal record check. There is no accommodation available - this is a drive in position Average 45 hours per week. 6 days on/2 days off roster $62500 total package (e.g salary and/or benefits) negotiable
