Production Assistant - Tractor/Machine Operator

The production assistant will be reporting to the production manager. Tasks will include but are not limited to: Ground work (cultivation) Helping plant/establish crops (potatoes, beetroot, pumpkin & broccoli) Harvesting crops Basic maintenance of machinery Spraying & irrigation when required General horticultural farm duties To be successful in your application you must have a passion for farming, have previous tractor driving experience, ideally with implements attached and experience with other agricultural machinery. You must also be interested in learning horticultural processes and have knowledge of basic chemical handling and usage. F and W endorsements are an advantage, however training will be provided to the right candidate. Work is usually Monday to Friday, however there may be some weekend work when required due to weather factors. There is also flexibility to those days. Usual hours are 7/8am until 5/6pm. Average hours per week are 45.
